Lord House is symmetrically planned, with a room in each corner and a central  double-height atrium.

Lord House is a modern reinterpretation of the Georgian villa.
It keeps a low profile in the street, with a green sedum planted flat roof.

Our project Lord House in Grove Park, just 100m from the Springhill site.
This was completed in 2002.

Lewis and Emma make a site visit.

Each house will have 8 photovoltaic solar panels, which will generate 2kW of electricity.

This is where the Springhill site is located.

The precast concrete floor panels in position.
Reinforced insitu concrete will be poured onto the panels to form the ground floor slab.
The cross-laminated timber superstructure panels will then be assembled on the slab.

We have a big crane in for the day to lift the precast concrete floor panels for the back addition slabs.

A cross-section through the house.
The staircase atrium rises the full height of the house.
It brings natural light into the heart of the house and passively ventilates the house in summer.

In the background you can see the precast concrete shuttering panels for the ground floor slab being lifted onto site.

The steel frames have arrived from Hungary.
They will frame the staircase atrium in  the basement, and support the ground floor slab.
